Just last month, ALM Healthtech was incorporated as a baby of qutbluebox's inaugural accelerator; a 3 month accelerator program to assist QUT staff, students and alumni to develop a minimum viable product and/or service, refine a business model, and ultimately launch a startup company. This initiative was on the back of the Brisbane university's commitment and shift towards a better future, starting right in our backyard.
As QUT alumni, the ALM Healthtech team, entered swift maturation with 6 other teams.
ALM Healthtech had been selected on the innovation, energy and vision towards a greater picture of preventable chronic disease.
The 3 month process, included $10,000 towards an array of initial business administration tasks, including;
- education around lean startup principles, customer discovery & market validation
- real-world startup professionals sharing advice, stories and guidance on innovation, intellectual property legalitites, funding and pitching skills.
- the chance to be awarded an additional $25,000 investment opportunity
- the chance to be awarded a donation of $12,500 from QUT alum Kris Tayler
This was an incredible experience for ALM Healthtech, as we were given the opportunity to collaborate, work with and be mentored by local and international entrepreneurial & innovation experts.
Stay tuned for news of our potential QUT bluebox success!
